On December 28, Rox Motor launched its Polestones Adamas range-extender off-road SUV for the Chinese market, available in two trims with a price tag of 349,900 yuan (49,800 USD) and 359,900 yuan (51,200 USD), respectively. The new car can be considered a revised version of the Polestones 01, offering 6- and 7-seater configurations with a CLTC comprehensive range of 1,405 km.
Earlier in October, Rox already launched the Polestones Adamas for the Middle Eastern markets in the UAE, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia, and received 2,000 orders within a month.
Rox also customized a version for the Middle Eastern royalty – the Polestones Adamas Royal Edition, priced at 998,800 yuan (142,100 USD), featuring black diamond-shaped decals on the sides inspired by the geometric patterns of the traditional Thobe Middle Eastern garment.
Visually, the Polestones Adamas continues the boxy design style of the Polestones 01, with only minor modifications. Positioned as a mid-to-large-sized SUV, its dimensions are 5050 (5298)/1985/1869 (1856) mm (l/w/h), with a wheelbase of 3010 mm.
Consumers can choose from five exterior paints: gray, white, green, gold, and black.
Power comes from a range-extender system consisting of a 108 kW (145 hp) 1.5T engine and electric motor(s), paired with CATL’s 44.5 kWh ternary lithium battery, boasting a CLTC pure electric range of 215 km and a comprehensive range of 1,405 km.
The FWD has a 150 kW (201 hp) electric motor, while the AWD has an additional 200 kW (268 hp) electric motor, resulting in a maximum combined power of 350 kW (469 hp) and a 0 to 100 km/h acceleration time of 5.5 seconds.
Furthermore, the Polestone Adamas adopts a closed-loop air suspension system with a 140 mm adjustment range, a maximum wading depth of 770 mm, a maximum climbing angle of 45°, offering seven all-terrain modes.
The onboard advanced driving assistance system is supported by three millimeter-wave radars, 11 cameras, and 12 ultrasonic radars, along with a Horizon Robotics’ Journey J6M chip.
Coming inside, the interior is available in four colors: white, orange, purple, and black.
The cockpit still features a combination of a 15.7-inch central control screen and a 12.3-inch LCD instrument panel, powered by the Rox OS operating system. At the same time, the steering wheel design has been subtly adjusted. A 15.7-inch 3K rear ceiling entertainment screen is also optional.
The Nappa leather seats support ventilation and heating functions. Other configurations include eight airbags, an 8.5L refrigerator, 24 speakers, and an AI voice assistant.
