Nissan N7 EV sedan from Dongfeng launched in China for 16,450 USD

The Nissan N7 electric sedan from the Dongfeng-Nissan joint venture was launched in China with a starting price of 119,900 yuan (16,450 USD). It shares tech and a price tag with the Dongfeng eπ 007 sedan. The Nissan N7 boasts up to 625 km range and a peak power of 200 kW (268 hp).

The Nissan N7 was launched in China as the first NEV product from the Dongfeng-Nissan joint venture. This model aims to strengthen Nissan’s market position. We will remind you that the Japanese car maker’s sales volume declined in China for five consecutive years. Nissan’s sales dropped in the local market by 49%, compared to 2019.

Core specs of the Nissan N7

As mentioned, the Nissan N7 shares tech with the previously launched Dongfeng eπ 007 sedan. It is underpinned by the Tianyan Architecture suitable for EV, PHEV, and EREV cars. The car’s exterior styling aligns with the brand’s design language called V-Motion. It has a closed front end with a single LED strip and headlights integrated into the front bumper. This vehicle adopts retractable door handles, a single taillight unit, and a sleek roofline.

The Nissan N7 boasts a drag coefficient of 0.208 Cd. It is an impressive number for the N7’s dimensions of 4930/1895/1487 mm with a wheelbase of 2915 mm. Its wheelbase and body width stay in line with the Dongfeng eπ 007. The N7 adopts two wheel options: R17 and R19. The car’s exterior has six colors: blue, silver, cyan, beige, white, and black.

The Nissan N7’s interior adopts a large 15.6-inch 2.5K screen that sits in the center console. This sedan adopts a two-spoke oval-shaped steering wheel. The gear shifter sits behind the wheel. The new model has a single LCD instrument panel. Other interior features of the Nissan N7 include a 50W wireless charging pad, three USB ports, and two cup holders. There are two interior colors available: light gray, and green-white. Another highlight of the car is the intelligent driving system developed by Dongfeng Nissan and Momenta

The Nissan N7’s OS runs on a Snapdragon 8295P chip from Qualcomm. It supports an AI voice assistant that is connected to the DeepSeek-R1 model. The center screen supports HiCar, Carlink, and CarPlay. The front seats of the Nissan N7 support a 12-point massage function. There are up to 14 speakers inside the car. The N7’s trunk offers up to 504 liters of space. Other car’s features are 256-color ambient lighting, a panoramic sunroof, and a refrigerator.

Nissan N7 powertrain and prices

The Nissan N7 has two powertrain options. The entry-level model adopts a 58 kWh LFP battery from Sunwoda. It sends power to a single electric motor in the front axle for 160 kW (215 hp). The range lies in a 510 – 540 km range. The second powertrain variant offers a 73 kWh LFP battery from the same supplier. It powers the 200 kW (268 hp) e-motor. The CLTC range is 625 km. This sedan speeds up to 100 km/h in 6.9 seconds.

The Nissan N7  is available in five trim levels. Prices are as follows:

  • Nissan N7 510 Air – 119,900 yuan (16,450 USD)
  • Nissan N7 510 Pro – 129,900 yuan (17,830 USD)
  • Nissan N7 625 Pro – 139,900 yuan (19,200 USD)
  • Nissan N7 510 Max – 139,900 yuan (19,200 USD)
  • Nissan N7 625 Max – 149,900 yuan (20,570 USD)

The Nissan N7 has the same starting price as the Dongfeng eπ 007 sedan. Moreover, this sedan is on par with the trendy Xpeng Mona M03 sedan and the recently launched BYD Qin L EV.
