Faraday Future Intelligent Electric Inc. (NASDAQ: FFAI) announced today that global music icon and best-selling female artist of all time, Mariah Carey, will be the next owner of an FF 91 2.0 Futurist Alliance vehicle. The announcement comes as the FF 91 2.0 and FFZERO1 concept car appeared prominently in Carey’s newly released official music video for her single, “Type Dangerous.”

The music video, featuring a special appearance by MrBeast, the world’s No. 1 influencer, has quickly gained traction online, drawing significant attention from the global entertainment and music industries.

Faraday Future highlighted that Carey’s acquisition of the FF 91 2.0 signifies a new phase of global cultural co-creation for the brand, reinforcing its “Ultimate AI Luxury” positioning.

“I want to congratulate Mariah Carey on her newly released single and music video release and for becoming the newest owner of the FF 91 2.0,” said Jia Yueting, founder and Global Co-CEO of Faraday Future. “The FF 91 2.0 represents the pinnacle of Ultimate AI TechLuxury. An iconic owner like Mariah Carey reaffirms FF’s position in the global EV landscape.”

Carey’s addition further expands Faraday Future’s celebrity owners roster, including high-profile figures from the entertainment and sports industries. This growing list of influential owners is seen as a testament to the increasing brand power of FF and the advanced capabilities of the FF 91 2.0 EV, which the company describes as a symbol of futurism.

Despite being founded over a decade ago, Faraday Future has faced scrutiny regarding its production and delivery numbers. Since commencing production of its FF 91 electric vehicle in March 2023, the company has delivered a total of only 16 vehicles. Of these, 10 units were sold in 2023, with an additional 4 units sold in 2024.

A notable aspect of these limited deliveries is that some vehicles have gone to company executives and celebrities, rather than primarily to typical consumers. This strategy has drawn attention, especially as the global music icon Mariah Carey becomes its newest FF 91 2.0 owner.
