The new Aito M7 crossover from Huawei and Seres revealed its interior ahead of the official debut at the Chengdu Auto Show 2025. This NEV family driver boasts three monitors in the center console, zero-gravity front seats, and lots of wooden trim. The Aito M7 will enter the Chinese market on September 23.
The outgoing Aito M7 crossover was developed jointly by Seres and Huawei in 2022. It is a range-extended SUV based on the petrol-powered Fengon ix7 crossover from Dongfeng. This vehicle gained strong momentum in 2024 by selling 193,342 units last year, according to China EV DataTracker. However, the demand for this vehicle dropped in 2025. As a result, the Aito M7 delivered only 35,146 cars from January to July this year.
However, Huawei and Seres are prepared to launch the all-new Aito M7. The exterior of this vehicle was previously disclosed. On August 28, Huawei’s car sales network HIMA (Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance) shared photos of the new model’s cabin.
New Aito M7 interior
The all-new Aito M7 adopts a fully redesigned center console with three screens. The main touchscreen of this SUV has a diameter of 16.1 inches. There is also a screen in front of the front passenger. The infotainment system of the new Aito M7 is powered by the Harmony OS from Huawei. Another feature of this vehicle is a head-up display. The gear shifter of the new Aito M7 moved to the steering column. As a result, the center tunnel of this SUV got two wireless charging pads, a pair of cup holders, and a spacious compartment.
There are almost no physical buttons inside the Aito M7, as modern Chinese cars rely on voice interaction systems and large monitors. The car has a camera in the rear-view mirrors, a lot of wooden trim, and a three-spoke steering wheel. Door cards of the new Aito M7 adopt buttons instead of traditional handles. The car has enhanced ambient lighting and Huawei Sound speakers. Both front seats of the car support a zero-gravity mode.
A five-seat variant of the Aito M7 was shown in an official image. The rear passengers of the car adopt folding tables, a refrigerator, and a ceiling-mounted folding screen. It is worth mentioning that other Aito models adopt a projector instead of the screen.
