Huawei released the official images of its Saic Z7T, jointly developed with SAIC. The new car is the shooting brake version of the Saic Z7, and also the first station wagon from HIMA. More vehicle details will be announced at the end of March.
The price range of the Saic Z7T has not been announced at this time. For reference, the Saic Z7 belongs to the mid-to-large sedan category, with an expected price range of 250,000 to 350,000 yuan (36,200 to 50,700 USD).
Judging from the information presented in the official images, the Saic Z7T adopts a mountain green exterior, hidden door handles, and red brake calipers. Its body structure has undergone a redesign in the rear compared to the Saic Z7 as a station wagon. The body dimensions still need to be announced officially.
The rear features a rounded surface and a continuous taillight, along with a sloping roofline.
In the front, the headlights are expected to feature the same 408 laser-emitting-point mechanism as the Saic Z7.
A roof lidar is also present in the front, indicating Huawei’s Qiankun ADS 4.0 advanced driving system will be onboard the vehicle.
Currently, Saic Z7T’s powertrain information is unknown, but it is expected to adopt a BEV system, offering RWD and AWD versions with 80 kWh and 100 kWh batteries, respectively, according to Chinese news outlet Mydrivers.
Currently, HIMA has five brands: Aito, Luxeed, Stelato, Maextro, and Saic, covering a price range of 200,000 to 1.5 million yuan (29,000 to 217,000 USD).
Saic is HIMA’s fifth brand jointly developed by SAIC and Huawei, with a brand positioning of “Stylish, Technologically Advanced, Trustworthy, and Accessible.” Its first model is the Saic H5, a mid-size SUV. The Saic Z7 is its second model, and is currently the newest model under HIMA.
