Chery released more images of its Exlantix E05 EREV SUV covered in camouflage under the Exeed brand. The new car is set to be the first mass-produced vehicle to be equipped with Horizon Robotics‘ HSD (Horizon SuperDrive) level 2 urban driving assistance system powered by the company’s China-made Journey 6P processing hardware. The global debut is expected to be in September.
Horizon Robotics launched the Journey 6 series of intelligent driving platforms last year. The 6P has a computing power of 560 TOPS and supports an image processing bandwidth of 5.3 Gpixel/s. Some of HSD capabilities include continuous lane change assist, pedestrian avoidance, and object avoidance.
The Exeed Exlantix E05 has up to 12 radars throughout the vehicle, and offers an optional roof lidar and cameras.
The official design language is called “timeless poetry in motion”.
The body dimensions are 4780/1890/1725 mm (l/w/h), and the wheelbase is 2800 mm. The curb weight is 2,065 kg. Power comes from a 1.5T engine with a maximum power of 115 kW (154 hp), electric motor, and 32.659 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, providing a top speed of 200 km/h, a pure electric cruising range of 165 km, and a fuel consumption of 5.8 L per 100 km (assuming WLTC condition). At this time, the detailed specs of the motor have not been revealed.
Judging from the declaration images, the closed front face is round, combined with two grilles in the bottom. The taillights adopt the conventional through-type design and is embedded with the Exeed logo.
The Exeed Exlantix E05 runs on either 18-inch, 19-inch, or 20-inch rims and the corresponding tire specifications are 225/60 R18, 235/50 R19, and 245/45 R20 respectively. Other configurations are the sunroof, window frame decoration, and black roof racks.
Earlier, Chery also teased the Exeed Exlantix E05.
In June, Exeed sold 11,969 vehicles, a year-on-year decrease of 9.7% and a month-on-month increase of 25.6%. Its cumulative sales for the first half of 2025 is 51,327 vehicles.
