BAW‘s independent sub-brand, Ruisheng, officially opened pre-orders for its M8 MPV. The Ruisheng M8 is available in six variants with pre-sale prices ranging from 169,800 to 229,800 yuan (23,800 to 32,200 USD).
The Ruisheng M8, a mid-to-large-sized MPV, boasts comprehensive powertrain options, including gasoline, extended-range electric (EREV), pure electric (EV), and compressed natural gas (CNG) versions.
Visually, the Ruisheng M8’s integrated headlights connect with the grille, while vertical air vents are on the front bumper. The side profile showcases a classic MPV silhouette with an inward-sloping waistline. The M8 measures 5317mm in length, 1870mm in width, and 1955mm in height, with a generous wheelbase of 3200mm.
At the rear, the M8 features a roof spoiler with an integrated high-mount brake light and a rear window wiper. The through-type taillights boast a gradient light source. Both the EREV and gasoline models feature a hidden exhaust layout.
Inside, the Ruisheng M8 offers a modern and user-friendly cabin. It features a full LCD instrument panel, a two-tone, two-spoke multi-function steering wheel, and a floating central multimedia touchscreen. The central console area includes a wireless charging pad, dual cup holders, and a functional button cluster.
The Ruisheng M8 will be available in 7-seat and 9-seat configurations. The second row features two independent seats with electric adjustment and leg rest functions. Depending on the trim level, additional amenities include rear tray tables, 2.2 kW external power discharge, a Jamo audio system, and second-row seat ventilation, heating, and massage functions.
The Ruisheng M8 offers a comprehensive range of powertrain choices:
- Gasoline version: Equipped with a 2.0-litre engine delivering a maximum power of 90 kW (121 hp).
- Extended-Range Electric Vehicle (EREV): Features a 1.5T range extender, a 46 kWh battery pack, and a 65-litre fuel tank. It boasts a CLTC pure electric range of 230 km and a combined range of 1420 km.
- Pure Electric Vehicle (EV): Powered by a single motor with a maximum power of 170 kW (228 hp). It offers two lithium iron phosphate battery options: a 92 kWh pack providing a CLTC range of 560 km, and an 81 kWh pack offering a CLTC range of 505 km.
- Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Version: Utilises a 2.0-litre engine with a maximum power of 90 kW, paired with a 180-litre underbody gas tank, providing a combined range of 580 km.

This car’s Chinese name is Ruisheng (in Chinese, 瑞胜) M8, but according to BAW’s website, its English name seems to simply be MPV M8.
