The Aito M6 SUV from Huawei and Seres was spotted in China during winter tests. It will enter the domestic market shortly to complete the brand’s SUV lineup. The M6 will be priced between 200,000 and 250,000 yuan (28,680 – 35,850 USD).

Aito is a joint project between Seres and Huawei that sells cars via Huawei’s HIMA (Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance) network. It currently sells four crossovers in China: the M5, the M7, the M8, and the M9. According to China EV DataTracker, Aito cumulative deliveries reached 417,452 units in China last year (up 8.3% Y-O-Y). This year, Aito plans to amplify its sales by launching the new model.

The Aito M6 crossover was seen in China during cold-weather road tests at the Wudalianchi test track in Heihe. It is a northern city in China’s Heilongjiang province, with temperatures reaching as low as minus 44 degrees. The car was covered in rather revealing camouflage that let us get acquainted with its styling.

The Aito M6 crossover retains the brand’s distinguishing design language, featuring a closed front end, teardrop-shaped LED headlights, and an active air intake. The car has a LiDAR sensor on the roof, large five-spoke rims with red brake calipers, and a single taillight unit. The M6 boasts semi-hidden door handles that comply with China’s latest regulations.

The Aito M6 is smaller than the previously launched next-gen M7 SUV. It has a sleek bonnet line, a lower beltline, and a shorter wheelbase. It is most likely that the M6 will be available for purchase only with five seats inside. The M6 will sit between the M5 and the M7 in terms of dimensions. For clarity, we listed their sizes below:

The Aito M6 will adopt ADAS and infotainment systems developed by Huawei. It will offer BEV and EREV powertrain variants. However, its specs have yet to be revealed. There is a chance the Aito M6 will enter the market in April with the launch ceremony at the 2026 Beijing Auto Show.
