The mass-produced AUDI E7X large electric SUV from the German automaker and SAIC was officially revealed in China during cold-weather tests. It is a five-meter car with a combined power output of 500 kW (670 hp).
AUDI is a joint brand between Volkswagen and SAIC that develops and produces cars exclusively for China. It is distanced from the brand’s distinguishing logo with rings, switching to a written badge with upper-case letters. Last year, AUDI launched its first model, which is the E5 Sportback shooting brake. According to China EV DataTracker, it turned into a flop by delivering 6,650 units in 2025.
In November 2025, AUDI revealed a concept car called E SUV. Its production-ready variant was exposed by the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) as the AUDI E7X during the domestic homologation process. Now, the mass-produced variant of this car has been officially revealed.
More about the AUDI E7X
The official photo shared by Autohome shows the top-trim AUDI E7X during cold-weather tests in China. It adopts large 22-inch rims, cameras instead of conventional mirrors, and a LiDAR on the roof. It also has a camera in the B-pillar and an active air intake in the front bumper. The AUDI E7X is finished in purple, which is the car’s press color.
The AUDI E7X has an illuminated logo and distinguishing LED elements with a dot pattern. Interestingly, the car’s rims have counterweights on the wheel logos. As a result, the AUDI inscription always stays upright. Other features of this vehicle include retractable door handles, sculpted fenders, and a sloped bonnet.
Dimensions of the AUDI E7X are 5049/1997/1710 mm with a wheelbase of 3,060 mm. It is available with 21-inch or 22-inch optional wheels. The entry-level RWD AUDI E7X comes standard with a single e-motor for 300 kW (402 hp). The AWD variant has a combined power output of 500 kW (670 hp). The top speed is 230 km/h. Two battery options are available: 100 kWh and 109.3 kWh for a 635 – 751 km range.
