The updated Xiaomi SU7 electric sedan completes the endurance test with a total mileage of 4,264 km, beating the previous record holder, Xpeng P7. Positioned as a new generation, the 2026 model year SU7 will enter the Chinese market in April 2026 with a range of upgrades.
The updated Xiaomi SU7 started pre-sale on January 7 in China. The Beijing-based automaker advertises it as the all-new. However, it is basically a mid-term update with enhanced hardware and subtle styling changes. Therefore, we at CarNewsChina tend to call it “updated” instead of “new generation”.
On January 19, Xiaomi officials shared that the updated SU7 sedan completed the 24-hour endurance test. It covered 4,264 km at a speed of 240 km/h, stopping only to charge the battery. The test was held in Yancheng, Jiangsu, between November 20 and November 21 last year.
It is worth noting that the second-generation Xpeng P7 previously achieved 3,961 km of mileage during a 24-hour test in 2025. The Xiaomi YU7 crossover was the runner-up with 3,944 km covered in 24 hours. The updated SU7 set the new record among mass-produced cars in similar testing.
