Avatr, the electric vehicle brand collaborated by Changan, CATL and Huawei, has officially announced that the 2026 Avatr 07 is scheduled for launch on September 20. The updated model will make the Huawei Qiankun ADS 4 driving assistance system standard across all trims.

The 2026 Avatr 07 maintains the exterior and interior design of its predecessor, while introducing a fresh “Sky Blue” exterior colour option. Inside, the intelligent cockpit receives an upgrade to HarmonyOS Smart Cockpit OS 5.

Soft-close doors, dual zero-gravity massage seats, and a premium Meridian 25-speaker audio system are now standard across the entire lineup. Drivers will also benefit from electronic rearview mirrors and a smart driving indicator light, with an optional in-car refrigerator available.

The EREV variant will be available in both rear-wheel-drive (RWD) and four-wheel-drive (4WD) configurations, featuring a 1.5T range extender and electric drive motors. The 1.5T range extender delivers a maximum power of 115 kW. The RWD EREV model is powered by a drive motor with a maximum power of 231 kW (310 hp), while the 4WD version adds a front-axle drive motor with a maximum power of 131 kW (176 hp) to the RWD setup.

A highlight for the EREV is the introduction of a new long-range version equipped with a 52 kWh CATL “Freevoy Hybrid Battery.” This battery provides a pure electric range of 333 km and a combined range of 1,200 km. It also supports 5C supercharging, enabling a charge from 30% to 80% in less than 10 minutes. The 2026 Avatr 07 EREV will also continue to offer a 39.05 kWh CATL battery, exclusively for the RWD model, which now boasts an improved pure electric range of 195 km, an increase of 7 km over the previous model.

The pure electric version of the 2026 Avatr 07 retains its core architecture, utilising a full 800V silicon carbide platform. The RWD EV model is powered by an electric motor delivering a maximum power of 252 kW (338 hp). The 4WD EV variant features front and rear motors with maximum powers of 188 kW (252 hp) and 252 kW (338 hp), respectively. Both RWD and 4WD EV models are equipped with an 82.16 kWh CATL Shenxing Supercharging Battery. This battery enables a CLTC-rated range of 650 km for the RWD version and 610 km for the 4WD version, with a maximum charging power of 420 kW.
