The 100,000 Xpeng P7+ electric liftback rolled off the production line in China. The Guangzhou-based automaker immediately began deliveries of the 2026 model year car that was launched on January 8 with EREV and BEV powertrain options.

The Xpeng P7+ liftback first entered the Chinese market in early November 2024 as the all-electric model with a starting price of 186,800 yuan (26,750 USD). It rapidly became one of the brand’s top sellers. On January 8, the 2026 model year P7+ started sales in China with 104 upgrades and an EREV powertrain option.

The 2026 model year Xpeng P7+ began deliveries in China

On January 9, the 100,000th Xpeng P7+ liftback officially rolled off the production line in China. To mark this occasion, Xpeng announced the opening of its global headquarters and manufacturing bases in Guangzhou and Zhaoqing to the public for the first time. The automaker will offer automotive manufacturing courses for primary and secondary students.

Back to the P7+, it was launched in late October 2024. It means it took Xpeng 14 months to reach this milestone with an average monthly production volume of 7,143 cars. It is worth noting that Xpeng completed trial production of the updated P7+ at the Austrian Magna Steyr plant in Graz. This liftback will soon become the global model, including Europe.

More about the Xpeng P7+

The Xpeng P7+ is a large model with dimensions of 5071/1937/1512 mm and a wheelbase of 3,000 mm. Its cabin adopts an 8.8-inch LCD instrument cluster, a 29-inch augmented reality head-up display, and a 15.6-inch touchscreen.

The Xpeng P7+ EREV adopts a 1.5-liter turbocharged range extender under the hood for 110 kW (148 hp). It has a 49.2 kWh battery, suitable for 430 km of electric range, and an e-motor for 180 kW (241 hp). The mixed range reaches 1,550 km under CLTC conditions.

The BEV version of the 2026 Xpeng P7+ comes with two powertrain variants. The entry-level model has a 180 kW (241 hp) electric motor, while the more powerful modification has an output of 230 kW (308 hp). Two battery variants are available: 61.7 kWh and 74.9 kWh. The P7+ BEV’s electric range reaches 725 km under CLTC conditions.

The Xpeng P7+ can be equipped with up to three Turing AI chips for 2,250 TOPS. This system supports the second-gen VLA model that integrates visual perception, language understanding, and action generation with reasoning. It is said to allow Xpeng to quickly deliver a near L4 assisted driving experience.
